Find pricing problems with price alerts and pricing analysis
Coin price alerts
Price alerts groups coins in stock by problem:
- "Under metal value": the coin's metal is worth more than its price.
- "Listed under estimate": the Flow Dealers price is well under the latest estimate.
- "Value under cost": the value is under what you paid.
- "Estimate below value": the latest AI estimate is well below the coin's value.
- "Estimate above value": the latest AI estimate is well above the coin's value.
- "Listed over estimate": the Flow Dealers price is well over the latest estimate.
- "No value": coins in stock with no value set.
The estimate and metal alerts need AI valuations. See Value coins with AI.
"Price alert gap" on Valuation rules sets how far apart an estimate and a value or asking price must be to open an alert.
To use the alerts:
- Click "Check now" to look for new alerts.
- Click a coin to open it and fix its price.
- Click "Dismiss" on an alert that you do not need. It moves to the "Dismissed" tab.
Metal price alerts
Under "Metal price alerts", you get a notification and an email one time when spot crosses your price.
- Choose the "Metal".
- In "When spot is", choose "At or above" or "At or below".
- Type the "Price per ounce".
- Click "Add alert".
An alert shows "Waiting" until it is sent. Then it shows the date that it was sent. To delete an alert, click its delete button and click "Delete alert".
Pricing analysis
Pricing analysis shows the markup on cost for your coins. Markup is value minus cost, divided by cost.
The page shows:
- "Overall markup": the total value over the total cost.
- The number of coins with "Cost and value set", "Cost only", and "No cost or value".
- The coins with the highest and the lowest markup.
- "Suggested prices" for coins with a cost and no value: the cost plus your overall markup.
To save a suggested price as the coin's value, click "Set". You need the "Edit coins" permission.
When you have many coins, the figures use your newest coins. The page says how many.
