Add a tray of coins from one photo.

Photograph one coin, an obverse and reverse pair, or a tray of coins. CoinManagerPro finds each coin and reads the year, mint mark, denomination, and type. You check each coin before it goes into stock.

Each coin it reads costs 5 credits. Nothing goes into stock until you accept it.

An intake batch in CoinManagerPro: one tray photo with 20 coins. A box marks the coin under review, and the form shows what the AI read: 1878-CC Morgan Dollar, year 1878, mint mark CC, $1. The dealer clicks Accept, and the next coin, a 1921 Peace Dollar, fills the form.

What photo intake does

Photo intake is for the buys and show purchases you would otherwise type in one coin at a time.

Trays and album pages

Photograph a tray, flip page, or album page with one coin in each pocket. CoinManagerPro finds each coin in the photo, draws a box around it, and makes a separate item for each coin.

Four ways to photograph

Use one photo per coin, two photos per coin for the obverse and reverse, tray photos, or trays photographed front and back. Upload JPEG, PNG, or WebP files in bulk.

Close-ups of the date and mint mark

For raw coins, CoinManagerPro reads the year and mint mark again from full-resolution close-ups of the photo.

Review before stock

Each coin opens with the reading filled in. Accept it, edit it first, or skip it. The review shows how confident the reading is.

Flagged suggestions

Uncertain mint marks, varieties, mint errors, and condition notes for raw coins show as suggestions. You use or dismiss each one before you accept the coin.

Keyboard review

Press Enter or A to accept, S to skip, E to edit the title, and the arrow keys to move between coins.

No duplicate coins

When a reading has a certificate number that is already on one of your coins, you choose to update that coin or add a new one.

Intake on a purchase

Start a batch on a purchase. Each coin you accept becomes a line of the purchase, with the cost you enter and a SKU from the contractor code.

How photo intake works

01

Start a batch

Choose how the photos show the coins, name the batch, and pick the warehouse and zone. Add a purchase if the coins came in on one.

02

Upload the photos

Drop the photos on the batch. CoinManagerPro identifies them in the background, and you can start the review while it runs.

03

Review each coin

Check the title, year, mint mark, denomination, type, grade, and value. Pick a category. Accept the coin, or skip it.

04

The coins are in stock

Accepted coins go into your inventory at the batch location, with their photos. A coin from a tray gets its own crop of the tray photo. Photos that fail stay in the batch for a retry.

Questions about photo intake

How many coins can one photo hold?

Put one coin in each pocket or flip. CoinManagerPro reports the coins in reading order, top row first, and makes one item for each coin. Album pages of 20 coins have been tested.

Can it read a mint mark on the reverse?

Yes, from a tray photographed front and back. Photograph the tray, turn it over, and photograph the back. CoinManagerPro matches each coin's back to its front by position, so a Morgan or Peace dollar gets its mint mark. A photo of the front alone cannot show a mint mark on the reverse.

What does it cost?

Each coin that CoinManagerPro identifies costs 5 credits, so a tray of 20 coins costs 100 credits. A photo that fails costs nothing. If you run out of credits, the photos wait in the batch until you buy more and retry them.

Does anything go into my inventory without my review?

No. Each coin waits in the review until you accept it. You can edit any field first, or skip the coin.

Does it grade raw coins?

For raw coins, the review can suggest problems, toning, luster, eye appeal, and a grade, each as a suggestion you use or dismiss. For a slabbed coin, it reads the grade, service, and certificate number from the label.

Are my photos used to train the AI?

By default, the photos and the fields you confirm are kept as training examples. Costs, prices, SKUs, and seller and customer details are never kept. You can turn this off in the AI settings, and that deletes the examples kept so far.
